What we do...

Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery

Drs Ridyard, Kloss and Kolodziejczak are board certified general surgeons. They have each continued their learning of new surgical techniques. They have kept abreast of the new laparoscopic techniques for colon cancer surgery and for intestinal surgery for diverticulosis.

Previously all intestinal surgery was done through large incisions on the abdominal wall. The surgeon had to make a large incision to be able to complete these complex operations.

The laparoscope can aid the surgeon in performing many of these intestinal surgeries through small incisions. Colon cancer surgery and intestinal resection for diverticulosis can often time be performed with these minimally invasive techniques. The benefits are very profound: shorter hospital stay, quicker recovery and less chance for incisional hernias in the future are just some of the benefits.

Dr. Kolodziejczak is a specialty trained surgical oncologist.
